Simple Sunday: Salmon

Seafood is delicious. We all know this.

But seafood is not something that I feel comfortable going into a store and picking out and preparing perfectly. I'm still experimenting, but it's not a meat that we (as Americans) usually eat on a regular basis.

But it's so good for you, so tasty and usually really easy to prepare.

And, thankfully, Aldi has helped my conquer my seafood buying fears by presenting me with 4 frozen salmon fillets for $4. I can definitely get on board!

And all we (my husband is usually the salmon cook) do to make our salmon shine is season it with salt and pepper on both sides and saute it in a pan with about a tbs. of butter for a few minutes on each side until it's cooked through.

And that's it, folks.

You can pair it with roasted veggies or put some pesto on top or even lay it over a salad. And you have a fantastic meal in minutes that's full of oh so wonderful omega-3s. Yippee!

Let's bring back seafood into our lives.
