You take some old crusty bread, like baguette or ciabatta, cut it into cubes, pour some olive oil over it, add some crushed garlic and salt and bake until crisp. (I baked mine at 375 for 5-10 minutes, until browned.)
And there you have it: garlic croutons.
Think of these bites like homemade bagel chips/your favorite part of the Gardetto's bag.
They're crunchy, the garlic gets all caramelized and roasted, and they're a perfect topping for salads, soups or just snacking on! And you can even add some Parmesan to give these little crisps some nutty, cheesiness or add an herb like basil or rosemary for extra flavor.
Happy Simple Saturday!
Yummy! These look so good...and your site looks wonderful! Great job, Grace!
