Scrumptious from Scratch





When I first started dating my now fiance three and a half years ago, one of our favorite things to do together was make late-night brownies and watch movies.

We both have a pretty good sweet tooth (mine being a little bit sweeter with a penchant for chocolate), and I love remembering those wonderful nights of eating warm, gooey brownies and the excitement of getting to know each other.






When we made brownies together, we would always use the box mix. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with using a box brownies mix, but I find that making brownies from scratch makes their flavor even more rich and unique.




I've been making this recipe that I got from my wonderful aunt Mary Lou for quite a few years. It only takes 8 ingredients to make these moist brownies, with my addition of a swirl of peanut butter on the top for an extra kick of flavor.

  1. I am not a big brownie fan, but these are delicious! I took a half of one to eat on Sunday then I just had to have the other half! Yum! Cathy
