Thankful for Fall

This fall, I'm thankful for many things.

I'm thankful to have a great job.

I'm thankful to get to see the sun come up (most) mornings.

I'm extra thankful for the amazing yellows, oranges, reds and greens that the trees around my apartment are showing off lately.

I'm thankful for fall flavors: butternut squash soup, pumpkin anything and everything and crisp apples.

I'm thankful for my silicone bundt pan that makes baking so easy and mess free.

And I'm thankful for a husband who enjoyed this Apple Cinnamon Bundt Cake with Lime Glaze until there was no bundt crumb left on the cake stand.

I took this fall bundt to a new place with a sassy lime glaze. To make the glaze, I mixed 1/3 cup of powdered sugar with the juice of about 1 lime. Then, I slathered the top of the cooked and cooled bundt with it.

Let this bundt cake make you thankful for the beauty of fall and the memory of summer.

  3. Oh that's interesting. How does the lime blend with the apple? Are the flavors distinct yet complementary or do they blend to a completely different flavor?

    1. Jamie, I think the lime just gives the apple taste a little zip of flavor. I would say they are complimentary.

  4. I'm thankful you have a job too, but it's too bad you don't work with me anymore so you could bring me a sample of this :) It sounds delish.
